Dragons

It seems that it is pretty difficult to draw dragons. Especially in a nice way. Drawing cats and rabbits is easier, ha ha. But I made it! So, these are few dragons from the calendar of 2012.

I didn’t print it this year, but it is available on zazzle.  I always felt sorry about unsold calendars – at the end of February or March no one wants them and they look so sad… So zazzle is pretty good thing, a calendar is printed only if someone buys one.

Or get it at etsy and print it yourself.

A tribute to Adelaide

I’ve been walking in the streets of Adelaide and wishing to draw some cityscapes like when I was studying. So one sunny afternoon I sat down in a Chocolate bar under the umbrella and drew this masterpiece with terribly wrong proportions. This is really good practice if you want to see all little details like a little over painted nail holding a wooden part of the façade. Oh, it is wood, I never thought about it!
Original is black’n’white only, I added some red on a printed copy. Other thing I learned that day is that a sketchbook from a set “back to school” is 5 times better than fancy named (“Professional artist series” or something like that) ones which I got in art supplies shops.

A Squirrel and a Rabbit

These two were drawn while sitting in Espionage gallery. I got simple white envelopes in a garage sale and found their paper as very nice for drawing. It is so smooth and line looks so beautiful!

The view of Adelaide’s roofs.

It is always interesting to draw things on the table if there are many of them. Though I think there were no flies…
